Role Overview
As a Gym Receptionist / Front of House team member, you will be the first point of contact for our members, ensuring they have a positive and welcoming experience. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with the opportunity to progress into an Assistant Manager position.
Your role will involve a variety of interactions, both in person and over the phone. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in delivering excellent customer service and fostering a supportive gym environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome members and guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information on memberships, services, and classes
- Conduct confident and engaging tours of the facility
- Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and payment handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front desk and reception area
- Respond to member feedback, inquiries, and concerns professionallyli>
- Support trainers and team members where required
- Stay up to date with current promotions, services, and events
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and motivating gym environment
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience (fitness or hospitality preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, approachable, and professional manner
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, solution-focused attitude
- Basic understanding of gym operations (desirable)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
