We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to support USAFRICOM by delivering advanced data analytics, automation, and intelligence support capabilities that enable data-driven operational and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will apply data analysis best practices and tradecraft techniques to process, store, and quantitatively exploit multi source datasets such as Publicly Available Information (PAI) and Commercially Available Information (CAI). You will develop and implement automated analytics, conduct large scale quantitative analysis, and leverage programming and scripting tools such as Python, R, Java, Spark, Databricks, and Azure technologies to transform complex data into actionable intelligence products. A core responsibility includes ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community directives, data security requirements, operational planning standards, and data quality practices throughout all analytical activities.
You will clean, organize, integrate, and maintain structured and unstructured datasets while developing scalable data models, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products that effectively communicate findings to technical and non technical stakeholders. Working closely with military personnel, partner nations, policymakers, law enforcement organizations, and cross functional teams, you will identify customer requirements, translate operational needs into analytical solutions, and support the development of fused intelligence products. You will document analytic methodologies and processes, conduct exploratory and operational analysis of large datasets, and balance accuracy with operational timelines to support mission objectives. Additionally, you will provide formal and informal reports, briefings, presentations, talking points, and decision support materials while contributing to customer outreach, stakeholder engagement, and reporting or accountability mechanisms.
As a subject matter expert in data analytics, PAI, and CAI exploitation, you will research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and analytical methodologies to improve mission effectiveness and operational understanding. You will participate in national and international meetings, committees, symposiums, and evaluations of analytical software, tools, and datasets in support of continuous capability enhancement. This role requires strict adherence to operational security procedures, Intelligence Community tradecraft standards, and information sharing directives, and may involve the use of advanced collection techniques within DoD approved managed attribution environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently synthesize complex information, manage multiple competing priorities, and deliver high quality analytical products that support strategic and operational intelligence requirements.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience, and is projected to range from $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
