Job Description

Job Title

Fleet Maintenance Controller- Technical Administrator (Fixed-term/Secondment up to 12 months), based at the Daldowie site.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planned servicing bookings with the garage network across Scotland.
  • Review and approve servicing, maintenance and repair activities using the maintenance management system.
  • Manage planned maintenance and Forward Maintenance Planner (FMP) activity for the allocated area.
  • Respond to live reactive calls through the call line, arranging repairs as required.
  • Collate and produce monthly KPI information for the Transport Manager.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, internal stakeholders, external customers and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV), Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) or plant/ancillary equipment.
  • Experience administering a forward maintenance planner and using fleet management systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Holding an OLAT certificate or CPC, or willingness to work towards these qualifications.
  • Detailed understanding of regulatory and legal obligations for commercial vehicle fleet operations, including goods vehicle operator licence requirements.

Employment Details

Grade 5. Starting salary £33,951, with progression up to £39,911 based on performance. Fixed term secondment up to 12 months.
