Duties
  • Removal and safe storage of damaged parts to facilitate repairs
  • Inspection for additional damage and identification of required parts
  • Communicating with Vehicle Damage Assessors to order necessary components
  • Ensuring all parts are correct and available for a smooth repair process
  • Refitting repaired and painted panels with attention to detail, ensuring accurate panel gaps within manufacturer tolerances
  • Replacing mechanical components such as steering, drivetrain, and engine parts, where applicable
  • Resetting vehicle control units using diagnostic equipment
  • Adhering strictly to health and safety legislation and internal procedures
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness
  • Attending regular safety training sessionsPerforming other reasonable duties as required to support workshop operations
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a MET Technician, ideally within a crash repair environment
  • Proven stripping, fitting, and panel repair skills
  • Ability to work accurately whilst handling freshly painted panels
  • Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and diagnostics
  • Commitment to health and safety procedures
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
