About this Position:

This Control Systems Engineer role sits within a growing engineering consultancy delivering advanced engineering solutions across sectors including motorsport, automotive, defence, industrial applications, electrification and elite sports. Working within a small, highly skilled controls team, this position offers exposure to technically challenging projects with genuine autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to work across a broad range of applications. Based in Buckingham with flexible hybrid working arrangements, the role is suited to exceptional graduates through to mid-level engineers looking to develop within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and validate control systems and embedded solutions across a variety of engineering projects

  • Develop control strategies, simulation models and system architectures while supporting testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities

  • Support system integration, data acquisition and technical documentation across multidisciplinary engineering projects

  • Collaborate closely with wider engineering teams and customers to deliver innovative technical solutions

Experience Required:

  • Experience or educational background in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automotive Engineering or a similar discipline, with exposure to electrical engineering and control systems being advantageous

  • Understanding of control systems principles, control strategy development and interaction between control systems and physical systems

  • Experience with MATLAB / Simulink, model-based development or simulation tools would be advantageous

  • Exposure to embedded systems, ECU / MCU development, industrial automation, PLC programming or programming languages such as Python, C or C++ would be beneficial

  • Strong problem-solving ability with the confidence to work independently within technically challenging environments

  • Open to applications from exceptional graduates through to mid-level engineers
