Job Description

BIM Coordinator

Application Deadline: 8 May 2026

Department: BIM

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Birmingham

Reporting To: BIM Manager

Description

Team Overview: Our BIM (Building Information Modelling) team plays a vital role in delivering accurate, coordinated, and data-rich 3D models for use throughout the design, construction, and installation phases of our projects. Working closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams, the department ensures that all mechanical and electrical services are fully integrated and clash free prior to construction. This proactive approach helps reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration across all stakeholders - ultimately supporting the successful delivery of high quality, bespoke MEP solutions.

Role Overview: We are looking to appoint a BIM Coordinator with a strong background in MEP to support the delivery of prefabricated solutions and decarbonisation driven projects. This role has become essential due to a growing pipeline of work focused on sustainable building practices and increased demand for offsite prefabrication. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating MEP models, ensuring seamless integration with design and fabrication teams, and supporting our strategic commitment to digital delivery, carbon reduction, and lean construction methodologies.

What You'll be Doing

In this role, you will develop and manage fully coordinated MEP models in Revit and Navisworks, integrating architectural and structural elements to deliver clash free, buildable solutions. You'll lead model coordination workshops, collaborate with consultants, supply chain partners, and site teams, and oversee the Common Data Environment (CDE) to maintain version control and structured data management. Working closely with prefabrication teams, you'll produce LOD500, fabrication ready models, construction drawing packs, and detailed spool drawings to support offsite manufacturing. During construction, you'll validate installations, update models with site changes, and deliver accurate as installed models for commissioning and handover. Additionally, you'll drive sustainability by leveraging BIM data to monitor embodied carbon, material choices, and energy strategies aligned with decarbonisation goals.
