Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver the production test strategy to ensure product quality and manufacturing effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead the development of robust, scalable test solutions.
  • Author technical and project management documentation (RFQ, SOW, requirements) for delivery of complex test systems.
  • Own tracking of CAPEX for specific projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Lead data storage and management strategy for production test equipment, ensuring integration with MES, test control and data processing software.
  • Define and track all design and functional requirements of test equipment across hardware, software, data management and H&S.
  • Plan and conduct verification testing of new equipment and facilities during commissioning.
  • Manage infrastructure installations through M&E phases.
  • Ensure all operational documentation is complete for production operators.
  • Ensure H&S activities are completed for design, build and commissioning, and handover test facilities.
  • Provide training on test equipment use and maintenance for operators and manufacturing engineers.
  • Ensure production test equipment calibration follows Evolito's process.
  • Lead technical discussions with external suppliers and partners for procurement and integration.
  • Project manage delivery of new test facilities within production.
  • Drive innovation in test methodologies and equipment to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers in delivering complex test systems with third parties.
  • Investigate new product testing methods and keep Evolito informed of latest standards and equipment.
  • Lead cross departmental collaboration with Design, Production, Quality, HS&E and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing test methods and equipment for electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrable experience with test facility operations, including H&S, in hazardous environments.
  • Knowledge of test system control software requirements for production equipment.
  • Knowledge of data management systems and integration with third party software.
  • Working knowledge of H&S standards for production equipment and H&V electrical systems.
  • Ability to compile complex project documentation (e.g., SOW) and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using requirement management tools such as Codebeamer.
  • Ability to innovate new production testing methods.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or NI tools for data analysis and script creation.
  • Experience applying aerospace design processes to production test equipment definition and delivery.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills.
  • Hands on approach to test setup, instrumentation and data acquisition during commissioning.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Positive problem solving approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • UK driving licence and ability to travel.
Desirable
  • Experience testing motors, MCUs or other powertrain systems.
  • Experience working within a Tier1 environment.
