Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Signals Team)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Signals Team, contributing to the development of secure, scalable applications that support digital identity and authentication services. You will work across the stack-from intuitive frontend interfaces to robust backend systems-collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, build, and evolution of fullstack applications using React (TypeScript), Kotlin, Python, and Ruby.
- Architect and develop scalable APIs and microservices deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Take ownership of complex features from design through to production and ongoing operation.
- Drive architectural discussions and contribute to long term technical strategy.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver secure, privacy compliant features aligned with regulations (e.g., GDPR, BIPA, CCPA).
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance.
- Partner with product and UX teams to deliver high quality, user centric experiences.
- Champion secure coding practices and contribute to identity and cryptographic systems.
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering practices, tools, and workflows.
Key Projects
- Support leading enhancements across identity verification and authentication products.
- Drive the evolution of the Signals platform architecture.
- Design and maintain SDKs and APIs for a consistent developer experience.
- Scale third party integrations.
- Integrate advanced security and identity features into Entrust's identity platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack or software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python, Kotlin, or Ruby).
- Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Experience building and operating APIs and microservices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability trade offs.
- Deep knowledge of software security principles and privacy by design approaches.
- Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of identity protocols (OAuth2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect).
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Ruby on Rails.
- Understanding of privacy regulations and their technical implications.
- Experience building secure SDKs or working on developer platforms.
