Job Description

Avanade is comprised of two channels to market: direct through Avanade relationships and indirect through our parent companies of Microsoft and Accenture, known as the Accenture Microsoft Business Group (AMBG). These channels develop market relevant capabilities and solutions to help clients resolve critical business and technology issues.

Role Overview

The UK Accenture Microsoft Business Group (AMBG) Lead Security Architect is a pivotal role blending market, sales, solutioning, people, and delivery excellence. The role reports to the UKI AMBG Security Lead and owns solutioning and delivery of all Microsoft Security work in the AMBG channel, working with large Enterprise customers in the UK and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive existing and new Microsoft Security offerings and capabilities that seize market advantage and business growth; support sales development and conversion through solutioning and delivery.
  • Guide AMBG Security architects and delivery teams with new solutions and delivery challenges.
  • Ensure the AMBG channel has the right capabilities, skillsets, and certifications to deliver client work today and tomorrow.
  • Manage demand and opportunity processes, ensuring alignment with client accounts and Integrated Go to Market Lines of Business and plays.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing AMBG Security in the market, with clients, and partners.
What you'll do
  • Provide thought leadership across Microsoft security.
  • Drive sales, solutioning, and delivery of Microsoft Security solutions.
  • Create and evolve GTM assets and solutions.
  • Establish internal and client facing relationships, building a strong network and trust.
Skills and experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, client presence, and influence of executive stakeholders.
  • Recognized Microsoft security thought leader internally (ideally externally) across Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Purview, and Cloud Security.
  • Broad Microsoft security technical, delivery, and sales experience.
  • Experience leading large scale Microsoft security transformations and managed security services opportunities.
  • Advanced Microsoft security certifications (SC 100, SC 200, SC 401, etc.).
  • Industry recognised certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks - GDPR, NIST AI RMF, ISO27001, SOC2, etc.
  • Ability to build organisational culture, drive employee engagement, strengthen inclusion and diversity, reduce attrition, and attract top talent.
  • Growth mindset, market focus, and ability to collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed company.
