About the Organiser The Neotia University, located in Sarisha, West Bengal, is a multidisciplinary private university known for promoting academic excellence and professional development through practical learning methods such as moot courts, seminars, and legal competitions. The university's School of Law actively organizes national-level events to enhance advocacy, research, and courtroom skills among law students. About the Competition The 1st Smt. Krishna Neotia Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026 is a national-level moot court competition organized by the School of Law at The Neotia University. The competition aims to provide law students with a platform to develop advocacy skills, legal research abilities, and courtroom etiquette through simulated court proceedings. Objective:
  • To promote legal research and advocacy skills among law students.
  • To provide exposure to courtroom procedures and argumentation.
  • To encourage critical analysis of legal issues and interpretation of law.
Participants must:
  • Register their team through the official registration process.
  • Prepare and submit memorials for both sides as per the competition rules.
  • Participate in oral rounds and follow the competition guidelines issued by the organisers.
Eligibility
  • The competition is open to students pursuing LL.B. (3-year) or integrated 5-year law courses from any recognized university or law school.
  • Each institution may send teams as per the rules prescribed in the competition brochure.
