The purpose of this role is to be accountable for multiple small to medium sized technical deliveries. What you'll be doing Lead the delivery of project(s), from planning and design through to deployment and implementation Lead project governance throughout the project cycle, including support in creation and management of detailed project delivery plan and dependencies Lead the virtual team in a way that meets all BT Leadership Framework accountabilities and BT Group values and leadership capabilities Be accountable for ensuring the scope of delivery is understood, that the technical solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive Identify pre-requisites to technical deliveries and ensure that they are delivered Identify Risks/issues/finances/status/resources for technical deliveries and take corrective action where needed Engage with clients and suppliers including internal stakeholders Manage handover to operations and the customer Make recommendations for improvements to processes. Identify and implement changes to improve quality and reduce costs Essential Skills / Experience Network Infrastructure Expertise - Strong understanding of physical and logical network build principles, including fibre, copper, circuits, routers, switches, racks, and power. Network Management - Experience working with network monitoring, provisioning, and infrastructure management tools used across enterprise environments. Project Delivery Experience - Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver small to medium technical projects with clear ownership, accountability, and consistent delivery outcomes. Operational Tooling Experience - Familiarity with industry-standard workflow, ticketing, and service-delivery platforms (e.g., provisioning tools, asset databases, change management systems). Connectivity Products Understanding - Good awareness of common connectivity products and access technologies, with the ability to follow structured ordering or provisioning processes. Risk & Issue Management - Experience identifying, managing, and escalating risks, issues, security considerations, and ensuring alignment with architectural or governance frameworks. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including senior managers. Cisco Hardware Knowledge - Understanding of Cisco network hardware and foundational configuration concepts. Problem Solving - Proven ability to analyse issues, remove blockers, and deliver practical, innovative solutions. Cross-Team Communication - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, influence outcomes, and build strong working relationships Desirable Skills / Experience In Depth knowledge of Internal Networks and the platforms supported/managed Excellent Technical Project Control - planning, dependencies, risk and issue management Good financial understanding - ability to build estimates, gain commitments on cost from component teams and meet committed finance figures for the technical deliveries. Excellent communication skills- able to work across a number of projects both inside and outside your team, presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders across BT, with ability to build rapport and influence.
