We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong fundamentals and self-management skills to join us at a rapid growth stage and help us serve an ever-increasing customer base. This role is instrumental in expanding the scope and impact of our flagship product on the UK's primary healthcare.
You will work on a complex Elixir system in an agile, self-organising team that treats each other with kindness and shows up for one another. Pair programming is actively encouraged. The work is a genuine mix: building new features that make BetterLetter materially better for the practices using it, shaping product decisions with the rest of the team, and contributing to the integrations with NHS document transfer technologies that keep the product working in the real world. You'll be involved across the full product development process, not handed a backlog.
Salary rangeCompetitive (specific band shared at the introductory call).
Qualifications and experience requiredA successful applicant will work on our flagship product BetterLetter. Most of the work is making the product better for the practices that rely on it: shipping new features, improving existing ones, and shaping where the product goes next with the rest of the engineering team. Some of the work is integration. BetterLetter lives inside the NHS document ecosystem, so a portion of any senior engineer's time goes into the interfaces with NHS document transfer technologies and our Python-based RPA.
Hybrid WorkingThis role is only open to candidates living and working in the UK due to the nature of the data we handle. We are a hybrid company with a central London office, and our hybrid working is flexible, there's no fixed number of office days, and we trust people to find the rhythm that works for them and their team. For the right candidate we're open to fully remote within the UK.
