Senior PHP Engineer - Remote/Hybrid, E-commerce Platform

Senior PHP Software Developer - City London

The ideal candidate will have sound 5 to 10 years proven commercial experience with developing software with PHP and MySQL.

Must have experience of working on a Linux server with good experience of database optimisation and caching technologies such as Memcached, Redis or Varnish.

Will also need to be comfortable working with back-end business logic and have experience of best-practice front-end development using jQuery.

Based in Central London you will be working on the development of a high-end, scalable e-commerce retail platform.

• 5+ years of Commercial Experience
• PHP
• MySQL, including database optimisation
• LAMP stack
• Linux
• MVC, ORM
• HTML, CSS/XHTML
• jQuery
• Caching Technologies such as Memcached, Redis or Varnish
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet tight deadlines

• Great knowledge of Apache, specifically Mod Rewrite
• Good working knowledge of Linux, including command line
• Server administration experience
• Ecommerce experience
• Smarty templating
