Job Description

As a User Experience Designer, Vice President

in the Commercial & Investment Bank, Trade & Working Capital, you will design and deliver user centred experiences for complex enterprise workflows. You'll work end to end-from discovery and qualitative interviews to interaction design, UI, prototyping, and shipped outcomes-partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and design peers. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will lead by influence within a cross functional pod, setting direction and quality while remaining deeply hands on.

Job responsibilities
  • Own end to end user experience design for priority Trade & Working Capital journeys, from problem framing through final UI and post launch iteration.
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesise qualitative research interviews (user/stakeholder interviews, concept evaluations); translate insights into clear design opportunities and requirements.
  • Create journey maps and service flows, define information architecture, and design interaction models that reduce complexity for expert users.
  • Produce wireframes, high fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes; iterate quickly based on feedback, usability testing, and data.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure feasible implementation, high quality execution, and strong UX details (states, errors, empty states, edge cases).
  • Contribute to our Trade & Working Capital digital experience vision, roadmap, prioritisation, and planning with PM/Engineering; advocate for user outcomes with evidence.
  • Raise quality through critique and design reviews; provide guidance to more junior and/or external designers through feedback and lightweight mentoring.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of UX/Product Design experience (or equivalent expertise) delivering shipped work on complex products.
  • Demonstrated ability to run qualitative interviews and synthesise findings into insights, journey implications, and design direction.
  • Strong skills in interaction design, information architecture, and UI craft; able to handle complex, data heavy enterprise workflows.
  • Strong design direction, collaboration and facilitation skills with product and engineering; able to drive alignment and decision making in ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and executive ready storytelling: can present work, rationale, and trade offs succinctly.
  • Technical literacy to design within constraints (component based UI, platform considerations, integration constraints); able to work effectively with engineers.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in Trade Finance / Working Capital / Treasury / Payments / Commercial Banking / Transaction Banking / Consumer Banking or similar regulated enterprise domains.
  • Familiarity contributing to or evolving a design system.
  • Accessibility and inclusive design advocacy (plus).
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.
