  • Ability to devise, test, and refine different content formats (e.g. transactional content or UX microcopy, forms, GOV.UK guidance, notifications) across the whole user journey.
  • Experience iterating content based on user research findings, usability testing, analytics, and service data.
  • Ability to write plain English content that meets statutory, regulatory, or policy requirements while remaining usable and accessible to all users.
Interaction Design
  • Experience designing intuitive, accessible interactions for digital services, using GOV.UK patterns.
  • Ability to create and iterate user flows, scenarios, wireframes, and interaction designs, informed by data and user insights.
  • Experience prototyping and testing solutions using paper, digital, and code based prototypes, using Figma and the GOV.UK Prototype Kit.
  • Ability to test and refine designs for usability and accessibility across devices and platforms.

  • Ability to analyse research findings and service data, and communicate clear, evidence based insights to inform design decisions; ability to support iterative improvement through evidence and data informed decision making, clearly communicating to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to define success metrics and evaluate the impact of services.
