Head of Software Engineering - NESTJS

London - Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite. Permanent Role.

Harrington Starr has partnered up with a Global Financial Payments company who is looking to hire a Head of Development and join an Engineering Team in London where you will work and look after a team of 20 Engineers.

They are a Payments that provide systems for the Banking, Crypto and Digital Payments API's.

• Lead engineering teams building core Payments Platform
• Own architecture and delivery of systems covering data, workflows, and controls
• Drive platform scalability, resilience, and regulatory readiness
• Develop engineering leaders and embed strong delivery discipline

• Senior leadership experience and hands on Development in Claude Code AI Engineers.
• Experience and hands on Development with JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS
• Expert experience with NESTJS Framework.
• Strong domain knowledge across Payments or Fintech
• Able to bridge technical execution with business and client requirements

• High impact leadership role in a specialist financial domain
