The Role
As an AI Engineer, you'll design, build and optimise data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that support business-critical platforms.
You'll work across engineering, product, and business teams to turn requirements into intelligent, scalable systems-helping drive modernisation and innovation across large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality, scalable software and data solutions
- Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines and architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and solution strategies
- Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and aligned with best practices
- Contribute to code reviews and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing
- Support AI initiatives, including data preparation and pipeline development for AI/ML use cases
- Apply testing, CI/CD, and DataOps/MLOps practices to ensure reliability
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, data, and engineering
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in data engineering and building modern data pipelines
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with tools/frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Understanding of DataOps/MLOps, including CI/CD and data quality management
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads (e.g. embeddings, vector databases, RAG pipelines)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face or similar
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Experience with streaming/real-time data architectures (Kafka, Flink)
- Exposure to data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
