The RoleErskine Stewart Melville Junior School is seeking to appoint a Digital Learning & Technologies Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis from 17th August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre employment checks). The position is term time only.
The purpose of the role is to deliver the Digital Learning curriculum to children in the Junior School, leading planned learning sessions particularly in Nursery to Primary 3 and supporting the teaching of Digital Learning across the wider Junior School (up to Primary 7). The postholder will support and facilitate high quality Digital Learning, Technologies and STEAM learning experiences while contributing to the smooth and effective day to day operation of Digital Learning provision.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children, and will be able to multi task and prioritise workloads with good attention to detail. They will have excellent and proactive communication skills and a demonstrated ability to develop rapport with teachers, year group leaders and pupils. Advanced skills in using various digital equipment and software suites are essential, as well as continuous review of processes to implement improvements.
ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
