The RoleWe're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Crewe, United Kingdom to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesRemote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
Server rack installation and decommissioning
Cross-connect and patch panel management
Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
Visual inspections and inventory audits
Escort and access coordination for client visits
Emergency response and on-call availability
Hands on experience with data center infrastructure
Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
Strong communication skills in English
Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests
Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
