Salary: The starting salary is £63,409, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.
The salary is broken down as £ 60,400 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £65,886. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

It takes a huge number of people with a wide range of skills and experience to keep over nine million people safe. Some of those skills include seeing opportunities in technology - and that's where the OSU come in.
As Technical Project Manager, you'll play a crucial part in protecting London by managing a team of multi-disciplinary technical specialists. You will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of small to medium scale technology projects that directly support frontline policing and corporate operational outcomes. Working with the Head of Infrastructure and other Technical Leads, you will be responsible to ensuing that solutions are operationally effective, secure, ethical, and delivered to a high professional standard, in line with the New Met for London operating model.
You will need to manage the full project lifecycle-from concept definition and requirements capture through design, delivery, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review. Projects may include software development, hardware engineering, system integration, deployment of off-the-shelf technologies, and the development of bespoke technical solutions to meet policing needs.
The role combines clear leadership responsibility with technical and delivery assurance, ensuring risks are understood, benefits are realised, and outputs inspire confidence from operational stakeholders and senior leaders. Key responsibilities of the role are defined below:
