Job Description

Solution Architect

Building an AI first organisation is central to Clinisys' purpose and the impact we deliver. As a global provider of intelligent diagnostic informatics solutions, we build AI enabled, cloud based platforms to enhance diagnostic workflows across healthcare, life sciences, and public health. By applying intelligent technology thoughtfully and responsibly, we help laboratories and testing environments operate more effectively, generate meaningful insights at scale, and ultimately support healthier and safer communities. Operating across more than 30 countries, Clinisys expects all colleagues-regardless of role or function-to work confidently with AI enabled tools, apply digital and analytical thinking, and continuously adapt as technologies evolve.

Clinisys has built an unrivaled reputation for deploying complex diagnostic networks and academic centres and is the only provider to repetitively deliver to all disciplines end to end at scale. Fostering healthier communities.

Responsibilities
  • Act in a consultative role, inspiring, leading, and collaborating with customers, colleagues, and partners to configure the Clinisys software package and enhance clinical laboratory workflows.
  • Stay abreast of ongoing and future laboratory regulations, working practices, products, and technologies within the pathology discipline.
  • Provide technical assistance for the implementation of complex distributed environments with private, hybrid, and cloud platforms.
  • Serve as the key technical subject matter expert in the design and deployment of the Clinisys LIMS Solution into healthcare organisations within the UK and Republic of Ireland, ensuring customer and business requirements are satisfied.
  • Identify opportunities within customer solutions and internal delivery processes where AI technologies can add measurable value (automation, decision support, data validation, anomaly detection, operational efficiency).
  • Utilise and continue to develop a standardised methodology for replicable deployment of the Clinisys product suite.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve a unified and scalable solution.
  • Understand and analyse client workflows to document a cohesive solution that achieves their target operating model using best features and practices of our software.
  • Be conversant with the functionality of the Clinisys product suite.
  • Comprehend customer requirements as specified in the Project Initiation Document (PID) and design documents presented at the sales stage.
  • Maintain continual customer engagement to promote solution design, build and unit testing, end to end validation, and transition into service.
  • Demonstrate and promote Clinisys core values of Simplicity, Promises, Customers and Teamwork.
  • Assess and maintain quality assurance throughout the deployment lifecycle.
AI Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess opportunities where AI and machine learning can improve operational efficiency, decision making, or user experience.
  • Act as a technical authority to define how AI components integrate into existing application, infrastructure, and data architectures.
  • Assess risks associated with AI usage-data quality, bias, model transparency, and operational impact-and ensure appropriate mitigations are designed.
  • Promote AI literacy within the Solution Architect team and wider delivery teams by contributing to guidance, training materials, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed on emerging AI capabilities and tools, advising on practical, value driven adoption rather than technology for its own sake.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong motivational and high commitment ability to deliver tasks in challenging circumstances.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate and document complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across groups, projects, and products.
  • Customer facing experience with strong attentiveness.
  • Strategic influence and cost effective technology solution implementation.
  • Capability to create and deliver executive level summary reports and presentations.
  • Experience with the Clinisys product suite.
  • Experience deploying complex applications, data environments, and automated solutions.
  • Hands on experience with basic Oracle scripting, Business Objects, healthcare integration solutions, messaging (HL7, FHIR), and data manager analysis.
  • Experience with Azure, cloud and hybrid platforms.
  • Diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of complex solution issues.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare pathology laboratory workflows, regulatory requirements, equipment, and emerging trends.
  • Ability to make balanced technical decisions considering commercial and timescale impact.
  • Continuous personal improvement mindset and development of skills, training, and career.
  • Flexibility to travel and work away from home (Woking office and customer sites) if required.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in the UK or Ireland health sectors.
  • Experience in healthcare LIMS management.
  • Moderate experience within an IT or software provider organisation.
  • Moderate experience in a project management environment (desirable).
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above may be substituted.
