My client, a healthcare provider, is looking for a Lead Test Engineer to take ownership of their automation capability and drive the next phase of their quality journey. You'll lead and evolve their Playwright-based automation framework, improving coverage, reliability, and integration into the CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with engineers and QA, you'll shape testing strategy across UI, APIs, and services-while mentoring others to grow their automation skills.
Responsibilities
- Own and expand the automated testing suite (Playwright).
- Improve test stability, speed, and reporting.
- Define testing approaches for new features and systems.
- Support defect triage and root cause analysis.
- Coach QA team members in automation best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong hands on experience with Playwright and UI automation.
- Solid understanding of modern test strategy (UI, API, integration).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps).
- Comfortable working across .NET backends and modern frontends.
- A proactive, pragmatic, and self-driven approach.
- Experience mentoring or influencing QA practices.
- A knowledge and/or willingness to utilise AI within the role.
