Senior Application Support & DevOps Engineer UK (Remote) Up to £75,000 Candidates MUST be a UK National and eligible for NPPV2 / Home Office Clearance

We're partnering with a global software consultancy as they expand into the UK, following the award of a major multi-year programme with a UK Defence client. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground level of their UK growth, playing a key role in delivering and supporting a high-profile, security critical platform.

The Role

As their Senior Application Support & DevOps Engineer, you'll act as the UK-based technical lead, owning live production systems and working directly with clients in a secure, high stakes environment.

You'll be hands on across incident management, system reliability, and DevOps improvements, collaborating closely with global engineering teams.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own and support UK-hosted production systems in a secure environment
  • Act as the primary UK technical contact for clients
  • Deliver L2/L3 support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Lead incident response and manage live production issues
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational processes
  • Work closely with offshore Dev & QA teams to resolve issues and drive improvements
What's important for this role
  • Proven ability to independently support live production environments
  • Strong experience in DevOps & Cloud (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience in high pressure, incident driven environments
  • Solid development background in .NET (C#), JavaScript
  • Strong SQL Server experience in production settings
  • Understanding of web architecture, APIs, and secure integrations
  • Good knowledge of database performance and optimisation
