The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the Government Department responsible for producing the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), the most used measure of inflation in the UK economy; including the amount benefits, pensions, etc. are uplifted each year. Collectors from Verian collect the prices of goods and services from a wide range of the most-purchased items in over 200 towns and cities across the United Kingdom and the ONS compares how this changes over time.
This is the perfect part-time role for a person looking for a customer service, sales, or administration role - that has existing commitments, childcare, or caring responsibilities looking to supplement their income.

EssentialA CPI data administrator / collector is responsible for collecting the prices of specific items on a monthly basis in a selection of retail premises across a dedicated town, or city. It is important work that impacts every industry in the country and is taken on two set days every month - always a Monday and Tuesday - with the potential for a short collection on a Friday in some areas.
CPI Collectors work approximately 12-15 hours over these two set days per MONTH, it may take longer to begin with while you are learning store layouts.

We pay £15.07 per hour (£13.45 per hour + £1.62 holiday pay) outside London, plus travel expenses.
