Key Responsibilities
  • Build robust back-end systems with frameworks such as Django, Spring Framework, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and PHP
  • Design and optimise databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB) and use data visualisation tools like D3.js
  • Integrate third-party APIs and develop RESTful or SOAP web services
  • Manage version control systems (Git, GitHub, SVN) and use CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create wireframes and improve user experience
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging using tools like Visual Studio or WebStorm
  • Maintain system architecture documentation and follow SDLC best practices
  • Participate in Agile workflows using Jira or Trello
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong back-end development experience (Django, Spring, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails; PHP advantageous)
  • Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite; familiarity with NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of web services: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP; API integration experience desirable
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible), version control (Git, SVN), containerisation (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, efficient code
  • Experience in unit testing and debugging
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation and responsive design standards
