Overview

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is a team of 4,500 experts working across 10 countries to deliver complex data solutions that support national security. As a Software Engineer you will be part of empowered, autonomous DevOps teams that build, deploy and maintain systems for our National Security Customers. You will have ownership and responsibility within a small team, while being supported by a large Engineering community.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and services for National Security clients. • Collaborate with end users to understand requirements and deliver solutions quickly. • Participate fully in the delivery lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operation. • Continuously improve processes, tools and technologies for better delivery and quality.

Qualifications

You will have experience in many of the following:

  • Collaboratively designing and building proof of concept or production systems.
  • Source controlling code with version control systems such as Git, Mercurial or Perforce.
  • Using CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket) to streamline delivery.
  • Automated testing of code using testing frameworks.
  • Static code analysis tools such as SonarQube to ensure code quality.
  • Working inside an agile environment (Scrum, Lean, Kanban).
  • Creative problem solving to meet client challenges.

It would be great if you also had experience in some of these:

  • Machine learning services (Amazon or Azure ML, TensorFlow).
  • Cloud computing (AWS, MS Azure).
  • Relational, document or graph databases.
  • Software configuration and deployment tools such as Ansible.
Clearance

Security clearance is required. If you are not currently cleared you must be eligible and willing to go through the process.
