Data Science Visualisation Intern

As a Data Science & Visualisation Intern, you'll support the Data Science team in developing and applying cutting edge machine learning techniques to medical imaging. You'll play a key role in automating the creation of high quality, marketing ready clinical and CRO materials.

Working closely with Biomedical Imaging Scientists and cross functional teams (BD, Product, and Website), you'll help build scalable visualisation pipelines and contribute to a future self service platform for visual assets.

You'll gain hands on experience with real world data, cloud technologies, and advanced algorithms while contributing to meaningful healthcare innovation.

• Research and develop machine learning methods for medical image analysis
• Analyse large datasets using cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
• Support development and validation of data science prototypes
• Collaborate with Imaging Science, Clinical, and Product teams
• Produce technical reports and algorithm documentation
• Stay up to date with advancements in machine learning and imaging

• Automate pipelines to generate marketing ready medical visualisations
• Work with imaging experts to ensure anatomical accuracy and correct clinical messaging
• Support development of tools enabling non technical teams to access visual assets
• Help improve speed and efficiency of delivering assets for time sensitive external meetings

• Studying towards a STEM degree (e.g. Data Science, Bioengineering, Physics, Computer Science)
• Strong interest in machine learning, medical imaging, or applied data science
• Solid mathematical foundation and analytical mindset
• Experience with coding (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Self motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively

Although not essential, if you are familiar with machine learning techniques or deep learning and have exposure to medical imaging or biomedical applications this would be advantageous. Equally if you have experience with Linux/Unix environments and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP then this would also help.
