The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors' or Masters' degree or recently graduated to gain hands on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. The internship offers exciting opportunities working within the Wireline sector of Baker Hughes at the UK Farnborough location, focusing on modelling, simulating and analysing data from sensor technologies for downhole tools.
DescriptionThis internship is a core member of a motivated small team working closely with scientists, electronic, mechanical and software engineers to develop the next generation of downhole tools. The role will be focused on modelling, simulating and analysing data from a range of sensor technologies, rock formation imaging and inspecting the integrity of metal tubulars used within an oil and gas well. The results will be used to optimise sensor design, drive the direction of experimentation and further our understanding of sensor response in varying conditions.
