Open Invite - National Security Open Day - Data/ML

We're partnering with a leading National Security engineering organisation to host a small, invite only open day at their Manchester site, focused on data and analytics engineering capability.

This is an opportunity to explore an environment where data engineering sits at the heart of mission critical systems, supporting everything from real time data pipelines through to AI, analytics and large scale distributed processing.

Teams bring together engineers, data specialists and domain experts to solve complex data problems across multiple environments. Engineers are encouraged to move between projects, work across disciplines and contribute to systems that have real world impact.

The session will take place towards the end of May, with a limited number of spaces available.

As a Data Engineer in this environment, you would typically be responsible for building and maintaining the data platforms that underpin complex operational systems.

Typical responsibilities and technologies include:

• Designing and building data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using Python based ETL processing
• Working with distributed data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka and NiFi
• Developing data services across batch, streaming and real time environments
• Designing and managing data models across relational and NoSQL databases
• Supporting cloud based data platforms using AWS services
• Ensuring data quality, integration and security across complex systems
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions

We're selecting a small group of engineers to attend a single open day session in late May.
