Job Title: PLC Software Engineer

Location: Bedford

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PLC Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of automation systems. This role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop PLC software using Siemens platforms, including TIA Portal
• Support the build and integration of automated cells and systems
• Commission and test control systems to ensure performance and reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver projects on time and to specification
• Provide technical support and documentation throughout project lifecycles

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal design
• Strong background in commissioning and system integration
• Experience working with automated build cells
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize control systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Additional Information:

• 70% office-based, 30% home-based working
