Test Engineer

Role: Test Engineer

Job Location: Telford, UK (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

1. Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases.
2. Execute manual test cases and document results.
3. Identify, record, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
4. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
5. Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
6. Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting.
7. Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.

Qualification & Technical Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. 2+ years of professional testing experience or a strong foundation through internships, training, or project work.
3. Experience working in Agile teams.
4. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
5. Experience with test case creation and execution.
6. Familiarity with defect tracking tools (eg, JIRA, Mantis).
7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
9. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
