Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Candidates must be eligible for UK DV clearance.
Existing or lapsed DV/SC clearance is highly desirable

We are looking for a Principal Cloud & Infrastructure Solution Consultant to join a growing consulting environment delivering complex enterprise and transformation programmes.

This is a client-facing consulting role for someone who can combine technical leadership, design authority, cloud and infrastructure expertise and delivery support.

It is not a pure pre-sales role and it is not a pure engineering role.

The ideal person will be comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, shaping technical direction and working closely with delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.

The role

You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, helping shape cloud and infrastructure solutions from early engagement through to delivery. You will provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, support design decisions, and help ensure services are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned to business needs.

What you will be doing

• Engaging customers and stakeholders to understand challenges and shape practical solutions
• Providing technical leadership and design authority across cloud and infrastructure programmes
• Producing or overseeing high-level and low-level designs
• Supporting delivery teams across architecture, implementation, transition, and service readiness
• Working across cloud, infrastructure, virtualisation, identity, and security-related workstreams
• Helping define and improve service offerings, standards, and delivery approaches
• Supporting bids, proposals, and technical solution shaping where required
• Mentoring engineers and working across internal and customer teams

What we are looking for

• Strong client-facing consultancy background
• Experience leading technical direction across cloud and infrastructure environments
• Strong design authority experience with HLD/LLD
• Experience supporting bids/RFPs/technical proposals, but with a profile that is still clearly delivery and consultancy-led
• Experience working across AWS, Azure, VMware, and hybrid infrastructure
• Good understanding of domain services/identity, infrastructure architecture, and service transition
• Knowledge of DevOps/IaC principles
• Experience working across multiple teams including architecture, engineering, operations, and project delivery
• Strong written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

• Cloud service design/service development experience
• Technical governance and architecture review board experience
• Relevant certifications across cloud, VMware, infrastructure, or architecture
