Infrastructure Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to gain exposure to major residential development schemes and further develop your technical expertise within a supportive and ambitious team.
You will be joining a specialist infrastructure team delivering projects from feasibility through planning, detailed design and construction. With schemes ranging from 50-unit developments to large-scale, multi-thousand-home communities, this role offers varied project experience and clear career progression.
Based in the Essex office, you will work closely with experienced engineers and industry specialists, gaining hands-on exposure to complex infrastructure challenges while continuing to build your professional skillset.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
Support the design and coordination of drainage and development infrastructure projects
Work closely with senior engineers to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs
Develop concept and detailed drainage strategies using recognised industry software
Produce levels strategies and assist with earthworks appraisals
Prepare planning documentation including Flood Risk Assessments, drainage technical notes and utilities statements
Undertake due diligence reviews to support land acquisition decisions
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure projects progress efficiently
Requirements:
Post-graduate (or equivalent) experience in drainage, highways or development infrastructure
Experience across pre-planning, planning and detailed design stages, including familiarity with S104, S38 and S278 processes
Proficiency in MicroDrainage and AutoCAD, with Civil 3D knowledge advantageous
Strong technical ability, attention to detail and effective communication skills
A proactive attitude with a desire to learn, develop and contribute to a growing team
