Role Overview

In this role, you will own the end-to-end solution architecture for a strategic product mission, ensuring that multiple product teams deliver a cohesive and scalable solution. You will provide architectural direction, establish guardrails and standards, and ensure designs align with enterprise strategy while supporting teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead mission-level solution architecture spanning multiple product teams and platforms.
• Design end-to-end solutions including integrations, shared services, APIs, and data flows.
• Establish architecture principles, guardrails, and reusable patterns to ensure scalable and consistent design.
• Work closely with Product Leads, Tech Leads, and Delivery Leads to ensure alignment between architecture and delivery.
• Identify cross-team dependencies, technical risks, and integration challenges early in the life cycle.
• Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and design rationale clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture governance and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and long-term strategy.

Skills & Experience

• Strong background in solution architecture within large-scale or mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience designing end-to-end solutions spanning multiple teams, systems, and technology domains.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture approaches including cloud (AWS preferred), microservices, APIs, and event-driven design.
• Experience working in Agile or product-led organisations, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making capability, balancing delivery timelines, technical risk, and long-term architecture goals.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Luton/Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
• Rate: £500-£550 per day
