We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect to join a major delivery programme. This role sits within the SAP Architecture team and plays a key role in designing and overseeing enterprise-level SAP solutions for large-scale implementations.

Role Overview

As an SAP Technical Architect, you will be responsible for understanding client requirements and designing architectural solutions that align with both technical and business objectives. You will oversee the delivery of complex SAP implementations, ensuring solutions are delivered in line with the defined architecture and overall strategy.

Working closely with Functional Consultants and Project Managers, you will support early project scoping, translate business processes into technical architecture, and ensure alignment across all technical workstreams.

You will also play a critical role in governing architectural solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, enterprise standards, and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable SAP technical architecture solutions

• Oversee architectural delivery across projects and programmes

• Scope and review technical and infrastructure initiatives for feasibility

• Ensure alignment between technical and functional solution design

• Manage technical architecture governance for high-complexity SAP implementations

• Support enterprise architecture development and refinement

• Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors

• Ensure consistency with architectural standards, policies, and best practices

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with large-scale SAP solution architecture

• Experience designing high-volume SAP landscapes

• Expertise in SAP system sizing and landscape design

• Ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders

• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements and architecture impact

• Experience governing complex SAP implementations

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Strong strategic thinking at enterprise architecture level

• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure delivery environments
