UX Designer - Legacy System Modernisation Programme Day Rate: £380 per day Inside IR35 Clearance Required: BPSS Duration: 6 months - extension possible Location: Mostly remote - 2 days/month onsite (Telford) Sector: Public Sector Job Description This is a major 2yr+ programme of work within an overarching government tax administration modernisation programme. Currently completing the Discovery phase, the programme will modernise an existing Legacy application through the creation of new capabilities and the transfer of functionality to other systems within the wider estate. Following agile principles, the Build phase will consist of multiple Scrum teams following a two-week sprint cycle. A major part of the programme is the remediation of existing Legacy capture applications, which enable end users to manually capture core Self-Assessment customer returns. Further new functionality will be introduced to enable end users to interact with the remediated services. With a requirement to remediate the capture, view, and amendment of returns dating back to 2003 (as a minimum), this requires the design of over 3,500 individual screens within a modern browser-based digital service framework. The programme is looking for someone who can work as part of a User Experience (UX) team, under the general guidance of a Lead UX Designer, to produce the designs required in an agile manner. Initial screen designs (often options) will need to be demonstrated by the UX Designer to the customer for direction, guidance, and agreement on a design to proceed into the build phase. Good communication skills and client engagement skills are therefore equally as important as design skill. We are looking for a Digital Certificate Management Consultant to join a large, multi-supplier (SIAM) environment, operating within the Operational Integrator (OI) function. This is a governance, coordination and assurance role covering digital certificate management across all suppliers - it does not involve certificate administration, PKI operations, cryptographic engineering or technical certificate deployment.
