Lead Developer - Birmingham, West MidlandsLocation: Birmingham (Hybrid) - 1-2 days per week in the officeSalary: £70,000 + benefitsErin Associates are recruiting for a Birmingham-based software house who are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to take ownership of technical direction, architecture, and development best practices for a small, high-performing engineering team. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example while remaining close to the code.The RoleAs Lead Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the architecture and delivery of modern, cloud-based applications, while mentoring developers and ensuring high standards across the codebase.Core Responsibilities
  • Lead application architecture across Node.js, React, and .NET
  • Act as the hands-on Technical Lead / Lead Developer within the team
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to developers
  • Design and maintain scalable SQL and NoSQL data solutions
  • Drive performance, scalability, and cost-effective cloud architecture
  • Produce technical designs, prototypes, and architectural decisions
  • Maintain clear and concise technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with algorithms and data processing teams
Essential Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in cloud-based full-stack development
  • 2+ years in a Senior Developer or Lead Developer role
  • Proven experience mentoring and supporting developers
  • Strong background in enterprise-level cloud architecture
  • Comfortable working hands-on across the full stack
Required SkillsBackend:

  • Strong SQL experience
