SAP Technology Product Owner - Treasury & Finance Platforms

We are seeking a highly experienced Technology Product Owner (TPO) to lead the strategy, delivery, and optimisation of Treasury and Finance applications across a global technology landscape. This role owns the end-to-end vision and roadmap for Treasury platforms, including SAP ECC/S/4HANA Finance, Java-based solutions, multi-bank connectivity, and SWIFT-integrated capabilities. The TPO will partner with senior business and technology leaders to define strategic direction, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence across a complex, mission-critical Treasury ecosystem.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Finance, Treasury, Cash & Banking operations, and core Treasury processes, combined with a strong track record of managing large-scale, multi-technology product portfolios. This includes hands-on experience with bank account management, cash operations, reconciliation formats (CAMT52/53/54, MT940, BAI2), liquidity planning, in-house cash, exposure management, hedging, deal and correspondence handling, credit risk analysis, market data, treasury payments, trading platform integration, and the design of IT and business controls. Experience delivering complex interfaces and enhancements, particularly those involving SWIFT connectivity and multi-bank integration, is essential.

In this role, the TPO will define multi-year product strategy, ensuring clear prioritisation and measurable business value. They will translate Treasury and Finance requirements into actionable product roadmaps and guide teams through analysis, prototyping, testing, and deployment. The position oversees the global Treasury systems portfolio, ensuring delivery transparency, alignment to strategic objectives, and adherence to security and governance standards. The TPO will also lead medium-to-large technology initiatives, coach internal teams and consultants, and cultivate strong vendor relationships.

Success in this role requires the ability to drive process improvement, champion modern delivery practices-including Agile and cloud-based architectures-and support adoption across a diverse stakeholder community. The candidate must be able to operate independently, influence senior leaders, and steer decision-making in complex, regulated environments. Strong communication skills are critical, particularly in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and collaborating across global Finance and IT functions.

Experience & Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Treasury technology solutions (eg, SAP Treasury, SWIFT, banking integrations).

• Experience with at least one full S/4HANA Finance implementation.

• Proven delivery of global, complex projects within regulated environments.

• 3+ years of people leadership, including responsibility for matrixed teams or cross-functional delivery groups.

• Strong SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and technology product management expertise.

• Solid understanding of cloud delivery models and modern application design principles.

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and contemporary collaboration tools.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
