Data Specialist - £500 - £600 a day - Outside IR35 - 6 month initial contract - London/ Hybrid Role Purpose We are seeking a skilled Data Specialist to join our transformation programme, focusing on oneAdvanced. This role will leverage data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics to drive insights, automation, and optimisation across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations functions within oneAdvanced. You will be instrumental in building predictive models, data pipelines, and analytics dashboards that support decision-making and enable a data-driven culture. Key Responsibilities • Work with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations to identify and scope data science opportunities within oneAdvanced. • Design, develop, and deploy ETL strategy, design and executive to migrate Legacy finance data to Target. • Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., demand forecasting, anomaly detection, risk scoring, financial optimisation). • Build and manage end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Dataverse, and Power BI. • Partner with oneAdvanced functional leads to enhance reporting, analytics, and automation capabilities. • Cleanse, transform, and integrate data from oneAdvanced, legacy systems, and external data sources into central data platforms (EDW/Azure). • Implement machine learning use cases such as cashflow forecasting, working capital optimisation, fraud detection, and HR analytics. • Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOX, and internal governance when handling sensitive financial and HR data. • Support the development of a data-driven culture by mentoring analysts and promoting advanced analytics adoption. Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Data Specialist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Advanced Data Analyst, preferably in an enterprise oneAdvanced environment. • Strong expertise in Python/R, SQL, XML, Azure ML, and Power BI. • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Dataverse. • Familiarity with the oneAdvanced data model (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, etc.). • Strong background in statistics, predictive modelling, and machine learning. • Experience delivering measurable business value through data science (e.g., cost savings, revenue growth, efficiency improvements). • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to explain complex models to non-technical audiences. Desirable Skills • Experience with RPA (UiPath/Power Automate) integrated with oneAdvanced. • Knowledge of finance, supply chain, and HR processes within oneAdvanced. • Exposure to data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX). • Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or large-scale digital transformation. Qualifications • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline (Master's preferred). • Has worked with oneAdvanced desirable.
