Enterprise Data Architect / Senior Solution Data Architect / Head of Data Arcitecture

Data is responsible for shaping, governing, and enabling data-centric solution design across the clients global technology landscape. The role ensures that all data and analytics solutions align to enterprise architecture principles, support the North Star vision, and deliver business value through trusted, connected, and governed data.

Working across programmes such as UNIFY (SAP S/4HANA), Integrated Supply Chain (Blue Yonder), and Sales Excellence (Salesforce CGC), the role bridges business strategy, data architecture, and solution delivery to ensure a unified enterprise data fabric and analytics capability.

Key Accountability's

Solution Leadership

• Lead end-to-end data solution design across global initiatives, ensuring consistency with enterprise data architecture standards and integration principles.
• Translate business and information requirements into scalable, secure, and performant data solutions leveraging the enterprise platforms (Azure, Databricks, Power BI, SAP BTP, Salesforce, etc.).
• Ensure data models, pipelines, and analytics solutions are built with reuse, interoperability, and data quality in mind.

Enterprise Alignment

• Embed the Data & AI reference architecture into solution design across domains (Commercial, Supply Chain, Enabling Functions).
• Partner with domain architects, integration, and cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment of data flows, controls, and metadata management.
• Support the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and data governance forums with clear, structured design artefacts.

Governance & Standards

• Define and maintain solution patterns for data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and sharing.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise data principles (trust, ethics, compliance, and privacy).
• Champion use of core platforms and common components to reduce data fragmentation and duplication.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business data owners, product teams, and data engineers to co-design pragmatic and value-driven data solutions.
• Partner with the Data Tower and Platform Engineering to deliver hyperconnected and automated data experiences.
• Influence programme and project teams to adopt standard data design and integration patterns early in the lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to simplify and modernise the data landscape by rationalising legacy platforms and redundant data stores.
• Stay current with emerging technologies (AI, ML, data mesh, data fabric) and translate them into tangible business capabilities.
• Contribute to the refinement of the North Star architecture and enterprise data capability roadmap.

Skills and expeirence:

Essential

• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions across hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data integration, metadata management, and data governance.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Power BI, and SAP BTP.
• Solid grasp of enterprise integration patterns (APIs, streaming, ETL/ELT, event-driven architectures).
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, value-focused business outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable

• Experience within global FMCG or similar matrix organisations.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CGC, SAP S/4HANA, Blue Yonder, and related ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ethics-by-design).
• TOGAF, Azure Data Engineer/Architect, or DAMA certification preferred.
