Data Analyst- Money Markets

Our client, a leading organization in finance, technology and financial news sector, is looking for a diligent and highly motivated individual to join their dynamic team. This is a 12- month temporary contract with an immediate start date. This is a remote role with initial onsite training in the City of London. It would suit a candidate with a strong analytical mind and a demonstrable interest in financial markets.

You will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams to prioritize and facilitate the creation of listed NCDs in the Client's databases. Additionally, you will ensure the timely availability of listed securities required for the successful deployment of the Order Management System (OMS) across multiple client portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of money market instruments and securities data, along with strong knowledge of fixed income products. They should demonstrate a keen interest in working with financial data and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Data, AIM Product, Engineering) to prioritize and facilitate the creation of listed NCDs in client's databases.
  • Possibly serve as point of contact between clients and global internal teams (especially given time zone and regional knowledge needs).Mitigate operational risk by ensuring instrument accuracy and readiness before portfolio go-live
  • Facilitate the availability of listed securities required for successful deployment of the Order Management System (OMS) across multiple client portfolios
  • Coordinate internal workflows to reduce reliance on manual instrument creation, minimizing operational risk and improving data integrity

Key Requirements

  • Deep understanding of money market instruments and securities data
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products
  • Demonstrated a keen interest in working with financial data
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong client engagement and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and possesses a strong sense of ownership
