Job Description

Role: Oracle Data & Reporting Systems Lead
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 Days In-Office Weekly)

Network IT is recruiting for a Data & Reporting Systems Lead to join a critical Systems Optimisation team responsible for shaping and enhancing enterprise reporting capabilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being both hands-on with Oracle reporting tools and taking ownership of data governance, user access control, and system optimisation across a large-scale environment.
Reporting to the Deputy Head of the Systems Optimisation team, you'll manage and evolve the organisation's Oracle-based reporting environment, develop dashboards and reporting assets, lead system improvement projects, and ensure access and data security are governed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role would suit someone who enjoys working across technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and data integrity - acting as the expert for Oracle reporting and access control.
  • Develop, maintain and optimise Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reports, becoming the first point of contact for end users.
  • Write, troubleshoot, and tune SQL for reporting, analysis, and integrations.
  • Lead data/reporting projects end-to-end - from scoping and requirements through to deployment.
  • Act as the technical lead on reporting improvements and integrations with other core systems.
  • Manage user access and data security, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal standards.
  • Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including configuration and monitoring.
  • Produce documentation, training materials and user guidance.
  • Provide 2nd-line support and incident resolution through ServiceNow.
  • Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance reporting performance and processes.

Experience Requirements

  • This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities - able to translate data needs into intelligent reporting solutions.
  • Proven experience with Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP).
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience managing user access and permissions across enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading reporting or data-related projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Confident troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving resolutions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload across multiple priorities.
Desirable:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Project management or delivery experience.
