Location: Bristol
Contract: 6 months (extension likely)
Security Clearance: SC required
Rate: 65/hour (via Umbrella)
Work Pattern: Fully onsite, 4-day compressed week available

A leading defence manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Embedded C++ Software Engineer to support the development of mission-critical real-time systems. This is a hands-on role within a high-integrity environment, contributing to the delivery of advanced technology solutions for national defence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and verify multi-threaded C++ software for real-time applications.
• Integrate and test Linux-based platforms with complex subsystems.
• Debug and validate software in high-performance embedded environments.

Essential Skills:

• Strong proficiency in C++ (real-time, multi-threaded systems).
• Linux system integration and debugging experience.

Desirable Skills:

• UML (Rhapsody), Python, Matlab, OpenDDS, NVIDIA CUDA.
