Job Title: Design & Technology (DT) Technician - Secondary Schools Across Bexley

As a DT Technician, you will play a vital role in helping students bring their design ideas to life. You will support the teaching staff by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment across areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing, maintaining, and organising tools, machinery, and materials for practical lessons

• Supporting teachers and students during lessons, offering technical advice and guidance

• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

• Assisting in the design, manufacture, and repair of teaching resources and student projects

• Managing stock levels and ordering materials when required

• Previous experience in a similar role within a school or workshop environment (desirable but not essential)

• Strong practical and technical skills in materials, tools, and machinery

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment

• A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work
