Job Description

Head of Product / Head of Product Platforms / Head of Digital Product

We're looking for a strategic and delivery-focused Head of Product to lead the ongoing development and optimisation of the organisation's core digital customer platform. This platform serves as a key touchpoint for millions of customers, enabling seamless access to products, services, and personalised experiences across all digital channels.

As Head of Product, you will be responsible for defining the vision, driving operational excellence, and ensuring effective leadership across a team of five Senior Product Owners. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, and commercial teams to deliver a world-class digital experience that strengthens engagement and supports the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the oerpational management and delivery of the product /platform vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organisation's core customer platform across a range of digital channels.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five Senior Product Owners, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Data, Analytics, Security Engineering, Operations, and senior business stakeholders to align on priorities and deliver business value.
  • Champion agile principles and operational best practices to drive efficient and scalable product delivery.

Operational Management

  • Oversee end-to-end product delivery, ensuring initiatives meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and commercial goals.
  • Translate high-level business objectives into actionable product OKRs and measurable success metrics.
  • Manage backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and capacity planning across product squads.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring clear communication and coordination across functions.

Customer & Platform Focus

  • Ensure the organisation's digital platform delivers a high-quality, intuitive, and engaging customer experience.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimise customer journeys, improve retention, and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Promote accessibility, compliance, and security as core principles within the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to incorporate customer journies and behavioural insights into product changes
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in digital product leadership within large-scale customer-facing platforms, ideally in financial services, insurance, or a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple product teams or Senior Product Owners.
  • Strong operational leadership with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of agile product management, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on measurable business impact.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or insurance technology.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture and digital platforms (e.g. APIs, customer identity systems, microservices).
  • Exposure to UX optimisation and customer engagement strategie
