Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer on a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage infrastructure on AWS using Terraform (IaC).

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and resilience.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to deliver robust solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide support for critical services.

• Ensure infrastructure meets best practices in security, performance, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer.

• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).

• Proficient with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

• Solid experience with CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent).

• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and Shell Scripting.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working on government or public sector projects (with knowledge of GDS standards).

• Active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
