Our client is a Northern award winning IT & Print solutions business thats looking to expand its sales force with 4 x new Internal Business Development Trainees.
A Internal Business Development Trainee job involves making outgoing calls to prospective customers to sell products or services, qualifying leads, updating customer databases, and achieving sales targets.
Key responsibilities include understanding customer needs, demonstrating product features, booking appointments for field sales, and receiving ongoing training to improve sales skills and product knowledge. The role requires strong communication skills, a polite telephone manner, and the ability to work in a target-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years telesales expereince in IT sales but this is not essential as full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Calling:
Making outbound calls to new and existing customers to generate interest in products or services.
Lead Qualification:
Identifying customer needs and determining if they are suitable prospects for the company's offerings.
Appointment Setting:
Booking appointments for the company's field sales team to meet with qualified leads.
Database Management:
Accurately recording customer information and updating contact details in the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Sales Target Achievement:
Consistently meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Product Knowledge:
Learning about the company's products and services to effectively explain their features and benefits to customers.
Customer Engagement:
Building rapport with customers and providing solutions tailored to their specific requirements.
