1st / 2nd Line IT Technician

Salary: Up to £28,000

As part of their continued investment in technology, we're seeking a 1st / 2nd Line IT Technician to join their internal IT team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically capable and service-driven individual to support a professional environment where reliability, discretion, and responsiveness are key.
The Role
You'll be the first point of contact for IT support across the firm, resolving day-to-day technical issues and escalating where necessary. You'll also assist with system maintenance, user onboarding, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support across desktop, laptop, and mobile devices
• Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft 365, printers, and networking
• Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory
• Support legal software applications and liaise with vendors when needed
• Assist with hardware setups, upgrades, and office moves
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates
What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment is a bonus
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft) are desirable
