M365 Engineer - European Tenant Consolidation Migration: Contract via Robert Half for Protiviti Consulting
Protiviti Consulting is leading a European migration programme to consolidate multiple M365 tenants into a single environment streamlining operations, standardising security, and enabling a scalable platform for future global rollout. Robert Half is supporting this initiative with contract talent. This is a hands-on M365 Engineer role with exposure to light architectural thinking. You'll work alongside a small migration team to execute tenant-to-tenant consolidation, covering mailbox, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive migrations. The European migration is phase one, with potential to extend into a global programme.
Assignment Details
- Location: Oxfordshire based client (Remote, with occasional on-site)
- Duration: Initial 3 months (potential extension)
- Day Rate: Market competitive via FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company
- Start Date: ASAP (c.1-2 week turnaround including interviews and onboarding paperwork)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end M365 tenant consolidation across Europe within defined timelines.
- Conduct mailbox, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive migrations using tools such as BitTitan or ShareGate.
- Support AD cutover planning and execution during migration phases.
- Apply M365 security policies and governance during migration.
- Contribute to migration planning with an element of architectural problem-solving (without being a full solutions architect).
Experience Required
- Proven hands-on experience with M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Strong technical delivery across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online migrations.
- Tooling experience with BitTitan or ShareGate (or equivalent).
- Understanding of Active Directory cutover and integration in migration contexts.
- Knowledge of M365 security and compliance features.
Additional Notes
- 2 hires required: 1 Senior Engineer (multiple migrations, complex cutovers) and 1 Experienced Junior Engineer (hands-on execution, tooling).
- All associates will undergo comprehensive background checks (up to 2 weeks turnaround).
