Data Insight Engineer

Insight: Recognise opportunities to gather and use our data to provide business insight, identifying issues and areas for improvement

System Integration: Work with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure accurate data transmission between our various IT systems and platforms, supporting deployment of new systems or system enhancements as necessary.

Collect Data: Ensure our data is being collected accurately and in a timely manner

Store Data: Ensure best practice in data storage and security whilst ensuring accessibility

Analyse Data: Extract insights from data to help the business make decisions.

Reporting: Deliver automated and ad-hoc reporting as necessary to improve business insight and decision making

Informa on Sharing: Support accessibility to key business data for senior management

What You ll Bring

Technical ability

• Relevant languages: Python, SQL etc.

• Data Engineering/ETL skills: Pipeline Development: Airflow, Fabric, Azure, Logging, API Integra on: REST API, JSON Processing, Data Mapping, Validation & Quality Controls

• Programs/Tech Stack: SSMS SQL Server Management Studio, Docker, Apache Airflow, Power BI, Looker Studio, Excel or similar, preferred but not all essential

• Version Control: Git/Github General

• Retail/supply chain, distribution or similar background preferable

• Previous experience working in a similar role

• Able to self-manage

• Self-driven and organised

• Good communication

• Attention to detail
